Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Steve Wells ("Event Core", "we", "us"). By creating an account, booking a ticket or listing an event, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Event Core.

2. Who can use Event Core

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you're under 18, you may only buy paid tickets with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. You'll be asked to confirm this at checkout.
• To receive payouts as an organiser, the payout account must belong to you or to an organisation you're authorised to act for.
• You must give accurate information and keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.

3. Our role

Event Core is a platform that connects guests with event organisers. The organiser, not Event Core, runs each event and is responsible for it, including the venue, safety, the line-up, age limits, and whether it happens as described. We sell tickets and collect payment on the organiser's behalf, and pay the organiser after the event as described in section 6.

4. Buying and using tickets

• Prices are shown in Ghana cedis (GH₵) and include everything you pay at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Paystack. A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds; you'll see your tickets in the app and get an email.
• Each ticket's QR code admits the number of people shown on it, once. Don't share or copy it: the first scan at the door counts.
• Organisers can set entry conditions (for example age limits or dress codes) and may refuse entry to anyone who doesn't meet them or who behaves unsafely.
• Tickets are for personal use. Reselling them for profit is not allowed unless the organiser permits it.
• Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

5. Listing events (organisers)

If you create an event, you agree that:

• The event is real, lawful, and accurately described: date, time, venue, prices, what each ticket includes, and any age or entry limits.
• You have the right to use any photos, videos, logos and names you upload, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them in the app and on our website to promote your event.
• You'll honour every valid ticket sold for your event.
• You'll use attendee details (names, emails, phone numbers and form answers) only to run your event, keep them secure, not sell or share them, and follow Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Event updates you send through Event Core must relate to the event.
• You'll tell us and your attendees promptly if the event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed.
• You're responsible for any permits, licences, taxes and insurance your event needs.

6. Fees and payouts (organisers)

• Platform fee. Each event's Event Core fee is fixed when you create it and shown to you then. It is currently 0% (free). We may change the fee for future events with notice; a change never applies to events you've already created.
• Payment processing fees charged by Paystack (card and mobile money fees, and the transfer fee for sending your payout) are paid by the organiser and deducted from your payout.
• When you're paid. You can request your payout 24 hours after your event ends. We review each payout before sending it to the mobile money or bank account in your profile. You'll see the full breakdown in the app.
• Holds. We may hold or delay a payout if an event is cancelled, hidden for breaking these Terms, under investigation for fraud, or the subject of many complaints, or if your payout details can't be verified. Money held for a cancelled event is used to refund buyers first.
• If refunds or chargebacks are owed after you've been paid, you agree to repay them, and we may deduct them from future payouts.

7. What you can't do

• List fake, misleading or illegal events, or events that promote violence, hate, discrimination or exploitation.
• Sell tickets you can't honour, or collect payment outside Event Core for tickets listed on it to avoid fees.
• Upload content you don't have the rights to, or that is sexually explicit, harassing or unlawful.
• Impersonate anyone, or use someone else's payment method or payout account without permission.
• Interfere with the app: scraping, overloading it, getting around security, or reverse-engineering it.

8. Moderation and suspension

We can hide or remove events, and suspend or close accounts, that break these Terms or put people at risk. Where we hide an event, its organiser sees the reason in the app. Tickets already sold for a hidden event stay valid unless the event is cancelled. You can stop using Event Core and delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep Event Core running and accurate, but it is provided "as is". We aren't responsible for an event itself, including what happens at it, its quality, or an organiser's failure to hold it, except for refunds owed under our Refund Policy.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through Event Core in the 12 months before the claim (for guests), or the platform fees you paid us in that period (for organisers). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under Ghanaian law.

Organisers agree to compensate Event Core for losses caused by their events or by their breach of these Terms, including claims from attendees.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Event Core after that, the new Terms apply.

11. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. Any dispute we can't resolve will be decided by the courts of Ghana.
